Heartbeat Philanthropic A Cappella is made up of University of Michigan undergraduate students in all years across many different majors!

Sopranos




Maddie Elnicky
Maddie is a Music major in the class of 2027. In addition to singing with her Heartbeat friends, Maddie loves ballroom dancing and writing.
Edith Pendell
Edith is in the class of 2027, studying political science. Outside of Heartbeat, she loves going to museums, visiting used bookstores, running, and theater. Edith can't wait to perform with the group at the University Hospital, as well as the various philanthropic performances ahead in the semester!
Maia Cooper
Maia Cooper is in the class of 2027, studying Biology, Health, & Society (BHS). She is originally from Traverse City, MI and loves pineapple on pizza. She is excited to perform in the hospital this semester!
Malinda Brunk
Malinda is in the class of 2026, majoring in public policy. When she is not at rehearsal she loves going out, traveling, online shopping, and playing volleyball. She can't wait to sing with everyone at the University Hospital this semester!
Altos
Naisha Phadke
Naisha is in the class of 2026, majoring in Biomedical Engineering. Outside of rehearsal, she loves hanging out with her family and friends, traveling, and trying new food and coffee shops. She is excited to volunteer at the University Hospital and the philanthropic aspect of Heartbeat.
Asia Quigley
Asia is in the class of 2028, double-majoring in Psychology & Spanish. Outside of rehearsal, Asia can be found daydreaming in the Arb, collecting bracelets, going out, and petting stray cats. She is so excited to make a positive difference and awesome memories with Heartbeat!
Brook Chaput
Brook Chaput is in the class of 2029 and plans to major in Psychology. When she isn't at rehearsal, Brook loves musical theater, playing tennis, reading, doing crafts, camping, and spending time with her friends and family. She is so excited to sing with such amazing people while making a difference in the community!
Grace McClellan
Grace is in the class of 2029 and studies Chemistry. She can be found cooking, hanging out with her friends and her dog, working out, sailing, reading, and now... singing with Heartbeat!
Kate Kehrer
Kate is in the class of 2029, studying Psychology with minors in Music, Intergroup Relations, and Community Action & Social Change. Outside of Heartbeat, she loves reading, giving her friends cute stickers, and choir. She is excited to spread her love of singing and her Heartbeat friends this year!





Tenors




Liam Bressler
Liam is a junior in Chemical Engineering. Outside of classes, homework, and Heartbeat, he spends his (nonexistent) free time playing cooperative board games and video games. He enjoys wearing graphic t-shirts and is often recognized by his ever-changing, colorful hair. He hopes that, through his contributions to Heartbeat, he can add some light to the world.
Katelyn Groves
Katelyn is in the class of 2029 and intends to study BHS and Philosophy on the Pre-Law track.
Silas Falde
Silas is a third-year engineering student studying Data Science. He can be found tearing it up on the Mitchell Field sand volleyball courts or doing AI research at the School of Public Health, but few things make him happier than singing with his friends!
Mariel Vargas-Vonbreymann
Mariel is in the class of 2029 studying Art and Design.
Basses
Avery Jura
Avery is in the class of 2027 studying Earth and Environmental Science. Outside of Heartbeat, he loves biking, going on adventures, getting involved, and making friends. He is excited to spread love and express his creativity in on- and off-campus performances in the coming year!
Mateo González
Mateo is in the class of 2026 at Michigan and intends to major in Sociology, with a sub-major in Law, Justice, and Social Change. In the future, he hopes to attend law school and work in civil litigation. Mateo enjoys biking, going to the gym, playing guitar, reading political theory, and watching the Premier League. He joined Heartbeat because he wanted to continue learning music in college and loves the group's mission of uplifting the community through philanthropic performance.
Noah Bishop
Noah is majoring in Applied Exercise Science in the School of Kinesiology, in the class of 2026. He enjoys playing tennis, reading, and learning new instruments. He's thankful for the opportunity to use music to make a positive change in the world.
Anthony Guan
Anthony is in the class of 2029, majoring in Biomedical Engineering and Performing Arts Technology. You can catch him producing beats at the Duderstadt studios and trying new food spots when not at rehearsal. He looks forward to volunteering at the Hospital and furthering Heartbeat's philanthropic efforts.
Camren Thorpe
Camren is a sophomore studying neuroscience. Outside of singing with Heartbeat he can be found writing poetry and short stories.
